Our Story

Hello and welcome.  We're thrilled you stopped by!

We are Bryan and Elizabeth, husband and wife founders of Pups Up. Our awesome little tikes are Gob, pronounced Job (Arrested Development anyone?) a spunky Bichon Frise and Buddy, a well-mannered Shih Tzu - Poodle mix.

As dog lovers, specifically the smaller breeds; we wanted to provide the best for our little guys.  As we perused various sites and stores, we realized that a great deal of products for small dogs were mass produced, made from non-pet friendly materials, drop-shipped, dainty, and trended more toward the large dog or tea cup variety.  It just appeared that quality materials were lacking, and that the small to medium sized dog was underrepresented.  

We started Pups Up because we wanted to provide first-rate gear for the active, sturdy, small dog.  The challenge was doing so responsibly, and in our eyes that meant original in-house designs, handmade in the USA, with quality materials that can hold up to whatever your dog throws at it.  

All of our products are made in-house with materials that we have personally vetted, tested and use with our own dogs.  We don't mass produce, and where feasible we custom make products sized to fit your dog.  We are eco-friendly, encourage recycling, and when possible, we use recycled materials in our products.  We are dedicated to the well-being of small dogs, continually improving designs and testing future products to be released.  Our aim is to be your go-to company for unique, quality, well thought out gear for your beloved furry family member.
